Berry Bros & Rudd London
On this prestigious project we were tasked with providing a solution to the current cooling of the Sussex Cellar function room. This room was being served by a air handling unit but wasn't cooling the room as it should because of the design. This was a tricky design to come up with due to the restriction on what units and sizes we could put in. We provided a design where we would have 2 Mitsubishi converted ducted fan coils behind existing panels with a grill at high level providing the correct cooling for the room, taking into account the big open hole to the room above in the ceiling. For this reason we chose grills with movable louvres so we could try and direct the supply air around the hole, limiting what was lost to the room above. These units were installed with pipework routed through the kitchen to the external units that have been mounted on a wall out of the walk way on a stair well. The grills were finished in an antique bronze colour to the clients requirements. This job had to be competed over two nights and days so that the function room could still be in use for the functions that were booked in.This system is run via a wall mounted controller and now provides heating and cooling their function room. We were also tasked with supplying spot cooling to their kitchen area. In this area we chose a low temperature Panasonic cassette system that would cool down to 10c.
